The
results of the 2019 general election for the three constituencies counted by
Wakefield Council have been announced.
The overall turnout was 60.24%. The turnout in the last general election in
2017 was 63.31%.
Labour held two of the three seats they were defending. They lost one seat to
the Conservative Party.
The
results are as follows:
Hemsworth: Jon Trickett, Labour Party
Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford: Yvette Cooper, Labour Party
Wakefield:
Imran Ahmad-Khan, Conservative Party
