New online edition of Council newspaper launches this autumn
Wakefield Council is launching its first digital edition of The Citizen, the Council's popular newspaper for residents.
People are being urged to sign up to join the mailing list so they can receive their copy of The Citizen Online directly to their inbox.
The digital edition which comes out in autumn will complement The Citizen newspaper, which is published each spring and delivered to all homes in the district.
The Citizen Online will provide subscribers with the latest Council news, in an easy to use format that can be read on a mobile phone, tablet or personal computer.
Cllr Les Shaw, Cabinet Member for Corporate Services at Wakefield Council, said: "The Citizen Online will bring residents news from across the district, showcasing investment, regeneration and other key projects.
"It will also signpost people to advice and support. You can only receive a copy if you subscribe via our website, so I'd like to encourage everyone to sign up now so they can receive their copy hot off the press in autumn. We actively welcome feedback to help shape future editions."

Residents who don't use the Internet can visit their local library where staff can support them to access The Citizen Online on the library computers.
