Primary School placements for September 2019 announced
Almost 4,000 children will be starting Primary School this September and all of them have been allocated a place.
In the Wakefield district, 91.64% of children have been offered a place at their parents' first preferred school of choice for a place in September 2019.
The number of applications received this year was 3,981 as compared to 4,059 last year.
Beate Wagner, Wakefield Council's Corporate Director for Children and Young People, said: "It's an exciting time for parents to see their children going to Primary School. I am so pleased that we have been able to place everyone who applied and I wish them and their children the very best on their new and exciting journey."
