Enjoy a great day out and support the districts budding young entrepreneurs.

Saturday 25 May sees the first round of the ‘Young Trader Market’ event get underway at Castleford indoor market. 

Young would-be-market-traders will be demonstrating their products, selling skills, and warm friendly Yorkshire charm, as they compete for a place in the next stage of the competition. 

The regional final will take place in Skipton and the national final is set to take place in Stratford-upon-Avon. 

The competition sees successful applicants being given a market stall for the day.

They can showcase their ambitions to become a market trader to the public and a team of judges, who will then decide which of the young contestants taking part will be selected to go through to the next stage of the competition. 

If you are in Castleford on 25 May, be sure to go along and support our districts budding young talent. The more people visiting their stalls, the more chance they have of impressing the judges. 

We would love to see one of our young Wakefield hopefuls in the national final.
