Junior Gym

All users must complete a Fitness Gym Induction before they can use the facility. Customers are issued with a swipe card after completing their induction. The card must be presented at reception on each visit.

Children aged 11-15 may only use the Gym if they have received an induction and are accompanied and supervised by a responsible person aged 16 and over.

11-15 year-olds can use all aspects of the gym facilities as long as they can accept and follow directions. Use of the fixed resistance equipment is dependent on height, and where required an alternative exercise can be prescribed by a Fitness Consultant.

Programmed Junior Gym sessions are specifically for children aged 11-15 years. Children are not required to be supervised as sessions are led by qualified staff. Children attending their first Junior Gym session must undertake an induction.

Children under the age of 11 are not permitted to use the gym equipment or attend a fitness class, unless the class has been specifically designed and advertised as suitable for this age group.

Most equipment provided within Aspire gyms is designed for an adult body, and may put undue stresses and strains on a child’s frame. Further advice and suitable activities for children can be obtained from our Fitness Consultants and Activator teams.
