Wakefield Safeguarding Week

Wakefield Council and its partners are holding Safeguarding week as part of our commitment to ensure children and vulnerable adults in the district are safe.

Safeguarding week is an opportunity for us all to remember that safeguarding is everyone's businesses.

Public Events

A public information day is being held on Monday 9 October from 11am-4pm where you can find out more information on safeguarding topics from a number of charities and agencies, including, Wakefield Safeguarding Board, West Yorkshire Police, Spectrum, Barnardo's, Samaritans and more.

Topics range from safeguarding children, domestic abuse, suicide awareness, sexual health and substance misuse.

Four drop-in sessions for members of the public will also take place at the following Children First Hubs:
