Wrenthorpe neighbourhood plan
We have received applications to designate a neighbourhood forum and neighbourhood area for Wrenthorpe. See below for details of the applications. Applications to designate a neighbourhood forum and a neighbourhood area can be consulted on at the same time.
If there is no parish or town council in the proposed Neighbourhood Area, as is the case in Wrenthorpe, a group must apply to the local authority to be designated as a Neighbourhood Forum, who, if designated, will be the only body who can lead the neighbourhood planning process in that area until the forum designation expires or is withdrawn.
Before we can designate an area or the forum, it has to give local people the opportunity to comment on the proposed neighbourhood area boundary and the neighbourhood forum application.

Statement for designation of Wrenthorpe Neighbourhood Forum (contains contact details of one member as required) – this explains how the group proposing to be designated as a forum meets the relevant conditions required by the neighbourhood planning regulations and relevant planning acts.
Statement for designation of Wrenthorpe Neighbourhood Area – this explains why the area proposed is considered appropriate to be designated as a neighbourhood area and who the relevant body is proposing the neighbourhood area.

How to make comments on the proposed neighbourhood forum and area
If you would like to make comments on the applications to designate the Wrenthorpe neighbourhood forum and / or the Wrenthorpe neighbourhood area, the consultation runs for 6 weeks, from Thursday 20 June to 5pm on Wednesday 31 July 2019.
Comments can be made online via the Council’s consultation portal or by downloading and returning a comment form to Spatial Policy Group, Planning Services, Wakefield Council, Wakefield One, PO Box 700, Burton Street. Wakefield. WF1 2EB; or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
Printed copies are also available to view and comment forms – at the Council office Wakefield One and at Wrenthorpe Village Hall, during normal opening hours.
