Statement of community involvement
The Statement of Community
Involvement explains how we will engage with people and organisations when
preparing Local Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents, considering
planning applications, working with communities on Neighbourhood Plans, and
updating the Community Infrastructure Levy.
We have prepared a new Statement
of Community Involvement (SCI) to reflect changes in planning legislation and
to ensure we are engaging communities effectively. The SCI was adopted on 22
November 2017 and is available to view and download here:
Consultation on the Draft SCI was carried out from Thursday 22
June to Wednesday 2 August 2017. A Statement of Consultation has been published setting out how we
carried out the consultations and the Council’s response to comments made.
