Press Reader is the FREE e-newspaper and magazine service from Wakefield Libraries

Choose from thousands of national and international newspaper and magazine titles completely FREE of charge!  All you need to use this service is a computer or handheld device with broadband internet access and your Wakefield library card. N.B This service supersedes and replaces the RBdigital/Zinio magazine service previously offered to Wakefield Library customers.

Getting started

  • Go to the www.pressreader.com  website or download the free app

  • Browse the selection of publications

  • When you're ready to 'checkout' you will be asked to create a username (your email address) and password which you will use to login in the future

  • Enter your library card number to register for your FREE access from Wakefield Libraries (make sure you fill in all the boxes)

ComicsPlus

ComicsPlus Library Edition is the FREE e-comic and graphic novel service from Wakefield Libraries

Thousands of digital comic books are available with a click of your mouse or a tap of your finger with Comics Plus: Library Edition.

All you need is your library card and a web browser to get started. You can even download the Comics Plus: Library Edition app to take your borrowed comics on the go!

Parental guidance: graphic novels and comics on ComicsPlus are suitable for under 18s but some material may be more appropriate for young people aged 13+. Age guidance is available for each magazine.

Getting started

  • Go to the ComicsPlus website

  • Enter your library card number to register for FREE access from Wakefield Libraries (make sure you fill in all the boxes)

  • Browse the selection of publications

  • When you're ready to 'checkout' you will be asked to create a username (your email address) and password which you will use to login in the future

  • Once you have registered and created your account each subsequent visit will just require your username and password

If you already have an account for our former RBdigital e-magazine service you do not need to join again. You can use your RBdigital account credentials for ComicsPlus.

A ComicsPlus Library Edition app is available here for IOS or via iTunes. An Android app available via GooglePlay.

RBdigital magazines can be read on a wide variety of desktop and mobile apps.
