Information for children, families and adults
Fun workshops, talks and activities for children, families and adults
Crafty-crocs - messy fun for children aged 2 to 5
These sessions involve messy crafts for toddlers and are held at Wakefield Museum on the first Tuesday of the month during term time. Sessions are free and run from 10am to 11am and from 1.15pm to 2.15pm, but booking is essential as places are limited. Please ensure the children wear clothes you don't mind getting messy!
Young Curators Club - Saturday club for children aged 8 to 13
This free club gives young people the opportunity to get involved in the museum, handle real museum objects, discover interesting historical facts and try new craft activities. Based at Wakefield Museum, the club runs on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Please contact us for more information and an application pack.
Free family workshops
A wide range of fun free workshops is run at all of our museums and both of our castles. This is an opportunity for all the family to get involved, and the workshops are often held during school holidays.
