Described as “the love child of Peter Kay and Victoria Wood,” her hilarious self-penned songs struck a chord with the nation, her observational humour nailing the trials and tribulations of becoming a new mum at 40, tantrum-throwing toddlers and mother-daughter relationships! Catch her at our comedy night before she starts her UK-wide tour and, we’re sure, goes onto to even bigger things!Micky P KerrWe’re tickled pink to welcome Leeds-based comedian Micky P Kerr back to the Forget Me Not Comedy Night stage again this year after his Yorkshire charm and blend of music and comedy blew us away at last year’s event! Another Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Micky was rocketed to stardom when he won the hearts of the nation, Simon Cowell and Andy Murray’s mum with his performances on the BGT show. Having played at the Edinburgh Fringe in August, expect music, social commentary and lots and lots of laughs!Graeme RaynerAspiring – and inspiring - Dewsbury comedian Graeme Rayner only started performing in 2018 but has quickly established himself locally as one to watch! He made his debut with a performance in front of over 300 people to raise money for charity and sent a video of his performance to David Baddiel, one of the country’s leading comics, who said: “You’ve got a future, Graeme. Made me laugh out loud.” We think you’ll be hearing much more about Graeme in the future – now’s your chance to see him before everyone else does!Host: Pete EmmettYorkshire comedian Pete Emmett has kept everyone entertained at several Forget Me Not events this year with his unique humour and expert hosting skills. We’re delighted that he’ll be orchestrating proceedings once again at our Comedy Night where he’s sure to keep the laughs a-coming!Things you need to knowWhat time should I arrive?Doors will open for the event from 6:45pm with the evening getting underway from 7:30pm.Can I select my own seat? You have the choice to sit on the floor seats or the balcony seats, both are priced the same.Beyond that we don't have a specific seating plan for the event (even though your ticket may appear to have a seat number on it), simply bring your ticket along and choose your seat when you arrive (if you don't want to be picked on by the comedians then arrive earlier to avoid sitting on the front row!)Do I need to bring a ticket with me?If you have purchased your ticket online please bring your booking confirmation with you, we will have a list of all attendees whom we will need to tick off as you arrive. If you have purchased your ticket in person and have a physical ticket simply bring that along with you.Are drinks available at the venue? There is a bar situated within the main hall where the event is taking place which will be open from 6:45pm too.No drinks are to be brought into the Town Hall.Is local transport available to and from the venue?Ossett Town Hall is situated in the heart of Ossett Town centre and has a bus station just 2 minutes walk away.
