Information for candidates
The Notice(s) of Election for the Local Election and the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Elections will be published on 30 March 2020. The nomination period for both Elections closes at 4pm on Wednesday 8 April 2020.
There are 4 pre-nomination briefings which can be attended by prospective candidates to receive information and advice regarding the completion of nominations. They are all to take place in County Hall, Wakefield at the following times/dates:
Monday 23 March- afternoon session at 2pm or evening session at 5pm
Tuesday 24 March- afternoon session at 2pm or evening session at 5pm
The slides for the briefing will be available in due course.

There will be post nomination briefings for all candidates after the close of nominations. Like the pre-nomination briefings these will take place at County Hall on the following times dates:
- Tuesday 14 April- afternoon session at 2pm or evening session at 5pm
- Wednesday 15 April- afternoon session at 2pm or evening session at 5pm
