Mayor's events and requests for attendance

As first citizen the Mayor has a key role across the District supporting a wide variety of events such as visits to schools, care homes, 100th birthdays, charity events,  coffee mornings and the opening of new businesses.

Requests for the Mayor's attendance should be submitted at least 10 days before the event.

Before you start

You may wish to call or email the Mayor's Office first to check whether the Mayor is available for your date before sending your form.

What we need to know

  • The title and description of your event
  • When your event is
  • Details of the organisers
  • Any dress code
  • What the event involves (speeches and any other duties)
