Award for personal licence holders (APLH)

According to licencing laws in England and Wales, anyone who authorises the retail sale of alcohol must hold a personal licence.

To get a personal licence, applicants need to complete an approved qualification. Our Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders is accepted as part of an application.

This course is ideal for individuals working in or planning to work in industries that involve selling alcohol. We are a trusted training provider and completing this course with us puts you one step closer to holding your licence. 

In this course you will:

  • understand the purpose of a personal and a premises licence 
  • learn about licensing law 
  • hear about crime prevention 
  • work on promotion of safety 
  • talk about the protection of children 
  • understand how to manage temporary event notices 
  • learn about the application process 
  • complete a Multiple-Choice Question Examination
  • attend a day course (9am – 4.30pm)

Once you have passed, the qualification can be used to apply for your personal licence.  

This course is only available as a group booking for up to 8 learners at once.
