Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH)
Licencing laws in England and Wales state that anyone who authorises the retail sale of alcohol must hold a personal licence.
Applicants for a personal licence must first obtain an approved qualification such as Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders.
This qualification, completed in one day at our training centre in Wakefield, is aimed at individuals working in or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol.
Subjects covered include:
- The purpose of a personal licence
- The purpose of a premises licence
- Licensing law
- Crime prevention
- Promotion of safety
- Protection children
- Temporary event notices
- The application process
A Multiple-Choice Question Examination assesses this qualification. Successful learners will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the qualification syllabus in order to pass. Once passed, the qualification can be used to apply for your personal licence.
