Castleford Civic Centre

​C​as​​​tleford Civic Centre was opened in 1970 as a purpose-built auditorium featuring two large function rooms. With a well-deserved reputation as a large and adaptable venue with a friendly atmosphere. The venue is perfect for large functions in the Castleford area.

Weddings and private functions

​Castleford Civic Centre is an ideal venue for large wedding receptions or private functions.

The Assembly Hall can seat up to 200 guests to help you celebrate your special day, whilst allowing for dance floor space for your party. The Legioleum Room is perfect for those smaller functions seating up to 90 guests. Both rooms have their own dedicated bar facility and can be set to your requirements with as much or as little help in planning your big day from the team.

Castleford Civic Centre has is a great venue for those wanting the flexibility to provide their own catering. This is a large kitchen available to hire. Please note that this is only suitable for food preparation and storage, no cooking is permitted.

Room hire

The Civic Centre offers you a choice of spaces available to hire for your next exhibition, conference, show or competition. The Assembly Hall lends itself perfectly to live music and theatre shows with a large stage and seating for up to 572 people.

The smaller Legioleum Room is perfect for conferences and business meetings. It has an impressive capacity of up to 120 people.
