The Eatwell Charter is an award which recognises businesses that promote healthy eating choices and it is run by Wakefield Councils Health Improvement Team. Our Charter also has 5 key objectives necessary to achieve our aim to make a healthy Wakefield with great food for all:

Eatwell Charter Mark holders are also eligible to apply for up to £1,500 in our grant scheme.

If you agree with us that everyone should be able to enjoy great food in Wakefield district, then sign-up to the principles of the Wakefield Eatwell Charter. The Charter shows the value placed by your business on providing healthier options prepared to good food hygiene standards for your customers.
The award is open to all food 'settings' (a business with a staff canteen, a community group allotment or cook and eat session). All you have to do is fill in
the application form and let us know what you have already done or pledge to do at least one new thing that will support one of our five objectives.
