Clinical or medical waste collection
Before you start
Medical waste bags are used for getting rid of items like soiled bandages, dressings and incontinence pads.
The bag must be tied securely and not too heavy - one person should be able to lift it and the bag should take the weight of its contents.
You will need to tell us where the bag will be and leave it out before 7am.
If you haven't used this service before you should contact a healthcare professional, such as a GP or district nurse, and they will arrange your first collection.
You will need to tell us:
- If you already have a collection booked
- Where the bag(s) will be left
- Which GP surgery you're registered with
