Report an abandoned vehicle
Before you start your request
Abandoned vehicles on private land need to be removed by the landowner.
As tax discs are no longer displayed in vehicles, you will need to contact the DVLA to check if a car is untaxed or not.
You can do so by visiting gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax
You will need to tell us:
- exact location of the vehicle (for example outside 10 Church Road, rather than just Church Road)
- make and model of vehicle (for example Ford Focus)
- colour of vehicle
- registration number
- general condition of the vehicle (for example burnt out)

If you wish to apply to report an abandoned vehicle, please fill in our online form. After which you will get an application number. If you provide us with an email address an automated acknowledgment of your request will be sent to you.
