Playmakers tells the fascinating story of how a saddlers apprentice from Horbury created one of the world’s leading sports brands. The exhibition features products made at the factory in Horbury near Wakefield, firstly as William Sykes Ltd, and later under the Slazenger and Dunlop names. The factory created a wide range of beautifully crafted sporting goods used in World Cups, FA Cups, Ashes tests, Challenge Cups and Wimbledon finals.

How to greet people and be courteous using British Sign Language. How to use and recognise numbers. How to interact in British Sign Language by using and recognising short phrases. A good introduction to the British Sign Language Level 1 course - the next step on this fascinating journey.

This year’s School Production/Dance and Drama Showcase is set to hit the stage in Kendall Hall, opening to the public on the evening of Tuesday 28 February from 7pm, with the final show taking place on the evening of Wednesday 1 March at 7pm.We are incredibly pleased to announce that this will be our first time of staging Tim Minchin’s Musical Adaptation of Matilda; a multi-award winning stage musical based on the children’s novel of the same name by Roald Dahl.Tickets are priced at £5 each and will be available to purchase either from the school.
