Gambling Act

Section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005 requires all licensing authorities to produce and publish a statement of the principles it intends to apply in their administration of the Gambling Act. Wakefield Council is currently conducting a review of its statement of principles.

The existing statement of principles has been amended in two parts to include expanded sections on the Protection of vulnerable people and Local Risk Assessments.

A draft statement of principles for the period 2019-2022 has been prepared and we would welcome your opinion as to its content as part of our public consultation, the areas subject to amendment are shown in red in the draft policy.

To have your say email: licensingoffice@wakefield.gov.uk

The consultation ends on Friday 14 December 2018.
