It’s all change in Wakefield!  New investment in the City will continue to revitalise the district over the next decade, bringing jobs and new opportunities. 

Accommodating more traffic is a difficult balancing act but we can all play a part allowing Wakefield to flourish by using our cars sensibly.  Did you know you only have to do a little to make a big difference?

Wakefield Council is now leading by example by laying down a challenge to their staff to ‘do it differently, once a week’.  Whether it’s travelling on foot, cycling, bus, train, car sharing or even working from home, each member of staff has the opportunity to play a part in reducing the Council’s impact on the district through the choices they make when travelling.

And people already taking part are finding it doesn’t just benefit the district, it benefits them too!

So, if they can do it, why don’t you?  Give it a go and see if you can follow the Council’s lead and do it differently once a week!
