About Us
The School Crossing Patrol Service is part of the Travel Awareness Section of Regeneration Services based at Newton Bar Wakefield.
The School Crossing Patrol Service is currently responsible for over 100 School Crossing sites in the Wakefield Council area. Wakefield's School Crossing Patrols are responsible for safely crossing thousands of adults and children every year. School Crossing Patrols also accompany Road Safety trainers into schools to deliver road safety measures.
New Sites
Requests for new sites come from many areas, Schools, Parents and Road Safety Organisations etc. If you request a site, please contact us using the 'School Crossing Patrol Site Form' and we will carry out a survey to see if it meets the criteria for a new site.
