West Yorkshire's Local Transport Plans set out a programme of improvements to the region's transport system. The aim is to improve people's quality of life by addressing issues, such as safety and security, congestion and pollution, inequality and access to education, skills, jobs, healthcare, people and places.
The Council is working in partnership with Metro and the other four district Councils (Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees and Leeds) to put the current programme of improvements into action and prepare a plan for the future from 2011 onwards.
Consultation on the three-year LTP Implementation Plan 2011-14 is now underway.
People across West Yorkshire are being invited to give their opinions on a draft plan that will set out the county’s transport priorities for the next three years.
