Wakefield Council issues licences for the following temporary obstruction of part of the highway – skips, scaffolding, hoardings to separate building works from the street and building materials stored on the highway.

To place any of the above on the highway without first applying for and being granted a licence is an offence under The Highways Act and may result in a prosecution.
