There are over 1,500 off-street and over 600 on-street car parking spaces in or around Wakefield City Centre operated by Wakefield Council, where a 'pay and display' system is in use from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm (unless otherwise stated).

CCTV covers the majority of the off-street car parks, with Carter Street and Unity House Car Parks having achieved the 'Secured Car Parks' status

Parking is free on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
