Disabled Drivers - Blue Badge scheme and disabled parking
The following concessions and conditions apply.
Blue Badge Scheme
Parking is currently free for registered disabled drivers (Blue Badge holders) in all Wakefield Council pay and display facilities, this includes both car parks and on street areas. There are also no time limit restrictions for registered disabled drivers.
For parking on yellow lines please refer to the guidance booklet sent out with your Blue Badge. See 'Related Links' for more about the Blue Badge Scheme and how to apply.
It is important to check the signing in all pay and display areas, both Council and privately owned, to ensure compliance with the regulations, as charging and time restrictions can sometimes apply. The Blue Badge must be displayed at all times, showing the expiry date and serial number.
