Pay and Display Parking

There is a system of pay and display parking in Wakefield Council owned par parks across the district.

There are also a number of car parks in the area which are owned by private companies. Each of these facilities are subject to regulations and prices determined by the operator. Users should always refer to the notice board when parking in these car parks and ensure they comply with the regulations.

No unauthorised parking at Chantry House

Wakefield Council no longer has any services based at Chantry House, Wakefield, and consequently has no access to parking spaces under the building for either council staff or the public.

The company who are currently looking after both the building and the parking place are Daejan Commercial Properties Ltd, based in London.

Any unauthorised vehicles parked in the Chantry House under building car park are liable to be clamped.  The public should note the warning notices which are now being displayed.

If anyone has any issues with clamping, you can contact your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Trading Standards Office or the Security Industry Authority, on either 0844 892 1025, or http://www.the-sia.org.uk

The Car Parking section also sell permits for Long Stay parking across the district and administer a residents parking scheme.
