Supplementary Planning Guidance
The Council has adopted a series of planning guidance documents to supplement some of the policies in the Local Development Framework (LDF).
The guidance will be of particular interest to developers and those submitting planning applications and will assist the Council when it considers proposals for development. Supplementary Planning Guidance does not form part of the adopted LDF but it will be a material consideration when the Council makes decisions on planning applications.
Supplementary Planning Guidance is available on:
- Residential Design Guide (SPG2)
- Development Proposals in Health and Safety Executive Consultation Zones (SPG4)
Policy relating to development proposals close to hazardous sites.
- Sustainable Development Guide (SPG5)
This document sets out the principles of sustainable development and how these can be applied in practice to the development process.
- Affordable Housing (SPG6)
Explains the Council's procedures on how the planning system can assist in the provision of affordable housing.
- Street Design Guide (SPD)
This Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) forms part of the Local Development Framework and is a key element to delivering high quality residential and mixed use development environments. Parts of this document deal with the parking standards covered by the previous District-Wide Parking Standards (SPG7).
- Walton Lane Development Brief
