The submission documents are a result of various stages of public consultation and engagement.  Comments made to the Council have been taken into account and the documents are now to be submitted to the Government and the Planning Inspectorate to see if they are 'sound'.

The documents will be submitted on the 17 January 2008.  At the same time there will be a six week period of public consultation where individuals and organisations can make representations about the documents.  Following this, an independent examination by a Planning Inspector will consider the soundness of the documents and any representations made.

• Sustainability Appraisal of the Core Strategy & Development Policies Development Plan Documents.

Please note if you wish to comment on the 'soundness' of one of the submission documents you should indicate which test of soundness you feel the document fails and give a full explanation as to why, either using the online form or the submission comment form provided.

The consultation period starts on 17 January 2008 and will finish 5pm on 28 February 2008.
