The Central Wakefield Area Action Plan has involved various stages of public consultation and engagement. The comments received during the consultation have been taken into account in the preparation of this document.
The Central Wakefield Area Action Plan draws together the work of Koetter Kim and Associates through Yorkshire Forward’s urban renaissance programme. The evidence gathered through the preparation process outlines a long term planning strategy that aims to transform central Wakefield into a ‘distinctive and vibrant cultural and commercial centre of national and international distinction’ by 2021.
We have now reached the final consultation stage of the process for preparing this document.
The Central Wakefield Area Action Plan has been sent to the government for approval. We now want to hear your views on the ‘soundness’ of the submitted document.
The public consultation started on 29 May 2008 and will finish at 5pm on Thursday 10 July 2008. Late comments will not be considered.
You should relate your comments to the tests of soundness set out in table 2 in the submission document. Please make it clear which test of soundness you feel the area action plan fails and give a full explanation, either using the online form or the submission comment form provided.
