This stage of the consultation process involved developing our preferred options for the Central Wakefield Area Action Plan taking into account the issues raised from the previous consultation stages and the sustainability appraisal. 

The Central Wakefield Area Action Plan - Preferred Options Report sets out our draft vision, strategy and policy framework for the regeneration of central Wakefield over the next 10 to 15 years.  Each policy or topic includes a summary of the alternatives considered together with the reasons for selecting/ rejecting them.

We also published the results of the sustainability appraisal of the preferred options document together with a summary note and detailed appendices.  

Consultation on our preferred options took place between 12th January and 22nd February 2007.
