UK Coal are currently reclaiming the former colliery site in a sustainable manner which will eventually provide:

• 6 hectares of broadleaved woodland
• 2 hectares of heathland
• 4 hectares of wetland features
• 35 hectares of hay meadows grassland
• 7 hectares of improved grassland
• 1.4 hectares of residential development
• 3.3km of new hedgerows
• 2km of new footpaths and bridleways
