Location/direction
Directions to Wakefield Council Planning (including Building Control) and Environment Department, Newton Bar
Approaching Newton Bar from Junction 41 on the M1:
- Leave the M1 and take the A650 towards Wakefield.
- Go straight ahead at the first roundabout.
- Go straight ahead at the second roundabout and then move into the right-hand lane.
- At the next roundabout keep in the right-hand lane.
- Exit the roundabout in the Wakefield direction and keep in the right-hand lane.
- After a short distance move into the filter lane to your right, cross the other carriageway and enter the site.
The Lower ("Planning") Building is immediately to the left. Enter using the main entrance at the front of the building. The site has ample parking facilities.
