Wakefield City Centre Streetstyle Design Guide

The purpose of this design guide is to provide a clear strategy and guidance for enhancing the streets and spaces within the city centre, that make up Wakefield’s public realm. The public realm is a key component in the city’s revival and aspiration to become a successful, distinctive and vibrant city.

Wakefield City Centre Palette of Street Furniture

This document develops the principles and proposals set out in the Streetstyle Design Guide by providing detailed guidance on specific types or styles of street furniture.

It is intended that this document is used to advise staff within the Council as well as external organisations such as developers, architects, landscape architects or anyone involved in the specification or purchase of street furniture.
