Developing successful and dynamic town centres is essential to improving the district’s economy and the well being of its citizens.

It has been recognised that structured town centre action plans can help town centre partnerships identify and highlight their priorities for the improvement of town centres that benefit the district economy.

The South Elmsall Town Centre Partnership has developed its action plan with support from Wakefield Council’s Urban and Neighbourhood Renaissance service. The plan helps the Partnership focus on priorities and develop projects that seek to improve South Elmsall’s town centre, encourage its economic development and improve the well being of its citizens.
