Almshouse Lane / Thornhill Street Pedestrian Link Route, city centre – Hepworth Wakefield and Waterfront

Project aims:

The Almshouse Lane / Thornhill Street Pedestrian Link Route connects the Hepworth Wakefield gallery at the Waterfront to the city centre. A series of co-ordinated environmental improvement projects will promote accessibility, safety and security to provide a link that is well used and safe. This will be achieved through:

• Highway improvements
• Public realm improvements
• Introducing public art
• Improved lighting
• Improved signage
• Introducing the use of creative lighting
