Wakefield Council lawyer wins at Yorkshire Legal Awards
A Senior Legal Officer at Wakefield Council has won a prestigious regional award at the annual Yorkshire Lawyer Awards.
Laura Taylor was named as In-House Lawyer of the Year in recognition of the legal work she carries out for the Council to safeguard children.
Around 900 legal professionals attended the event in Leeds, hosted by BBC Breakfast presenter Mike Bushell.
Margaret Isherwood, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People at Wakefield Council, said: "Congratulations to Laura whose hard work has been recognised at this event, which highlights excellent practice in all aspects of the legal profession in our region."
