Council supports Big Energy Saving Week
Wakefield Council is
teaming up with the Energy Saving Trust to show residents how they can save
energy and save money as part of the national Big Energy Saving Week.
Drop-in to the Council’s event on Wednesday 24 January, 10am to 4pm, at the
Ridings Shopping Centre in Wakefield city centre where there will be advice on:
• Fuel switching (bring along energy bills)
• Energy saving measures – such as boilers, cavity wall insulation, loft
• Gas network connections
• Other renewable heating options.
Cllr Denise Jeffery,
Wakefield Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Growth, said:
“With the cold weather upon us, there are lots of things that residents can do
to help keep their homes warmer in a cost effective way. Come along to the
event or contact our team for more information.”
Those that pop along might also be able to grab a useful goody bag packed with
useful information, some radiator keys and energy saving plugs.
