Wakefield seaside success
The beach brought
huge crowds into Wakefield city centre at the weekend, with over 51,000 people
enjoying the seaside entertainment.
The Council’s popular event returned with all the seaside favourites including
donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows, children’s activities, all alongside a big

The Seaside in Castleford event takes place on Saturday 19 August, 10am to 4pm,
with free donkey rides, workshops, Punch and Judy shows, face painting,
children’s rides, street entertainment, bumper cars and much more.
