Consultation on proposals for new parliamentary constituency boundaries

Date: 28/02/2017

Ref: PR8489

Last year the Boundary Commission for England asked people to give their views on its proposals to draw up new parliamentary constituency boundaries across the UK.

Almost 20,000 people commented on the initial proposals during the consultation period which closed on 5 December 2016.

As part of the review process the Commission has today (February 28) published all of the representations received during the initial consultation period. The Commission is now asking people to have their say on the comments received, which are published on its website.

Residents in the Wakefield district can still take part in the consultation, or view the comments, by visiting the Commission's website

Comments must be submitted by 27 March.
