Cabinet on Tour returns to Wakefield
Ref: PR 5109
Wakefield Council's Cabinet on Tour returns to Wakefield at the newly refurbished Grade I listed Town Hall to give people in the opportunity to have their say.
Wakefield Town Hall reopened in August and the Council is inviting residents to come along to the city centre venue and get their questions answered on Tuesday 24 November at 10.30am to 12 noon.
The Council's Cabinet meets regularly to discuss the district's important issues as well as hearing reports from the different council functions. The meetings are where key decisions are made following discussion between all elected members.
Council Leader, Cllr Peter Box CBE, said: "We've been touring the district to make it easier for residents to attend our meetings and engage with their elected members.
"All of our Cabinet meetings are open to the public and we encourage everyone to attend to see local decision making in action.
"Previous Cabinet on Tour events in Castleford, Pontefract and South Elmsall have been well attended and we hope that by returning to the city centre that this event will be too. Please join us to ask questions about issues that are important to you."
For those who can't attend in person, questions can be also submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org on www.facebook.com/mywakefield or on Twitter @MyWakefield using the hashtag #AskCabinet
The meeting will also be streamed live on the day. To watch live, or at later date, visit www.wakefield.gov.uk/yoursay
