The Hepworth Wakefield welcomes Cabinet on Tour
Ref: PR 5056
Wakefield Council’s next Cabinet on Tour event
is to take place at the award-winning gallery, The Hepworth Wakefield.
The Council is inviting residents to come along to the city centre venue and
get their questions answered on Tuesday 22 September, The Hepworth Wakefield
WF1 5AW, at 10.30am to 12 noon.
Wakefield Council’s Cabinet meets regularly and discusses the district’s
important issues as well as hearing reports from the different council
functions. The meetings are where key decisions are made following discussion
between all elected members.
Council Leader, Cllr Peter Box CBE, said: “All of our Cabinet meetings are held
in public. We’ve been touring the district to make it easier for more people to
attend and engage with their elected members.
“Our previous Cabinet on Tour events have been well attended in Castleford Pontefract
and South Elmsall, giving more people across the district a chance to ask us
“I encourage residents to come along and take part and at the same time take
advantage of visiting the fantastic Gallery we have here in the district.”
Jane Marriott, Deputy Director at The Hepworth Wakefield, said: “We are
delighted to be hosting the next Cabinet on Tour at The Hepworth Wakefield.
This is a great initiative and I very much look forward to welcoming local
residents into the gallery. If you’ve never been to The Hepworth Wakefield it’s
a great chance to see what we offer and our wonderful gallery spaces.”
For those who can’t attend in person, questions can be also submitted by email
to firstname.lastname@example.org, on www.facebook.com/mywakefield
or on Twitter @MyWakefield using the hashtag #AskCabinet
