Wakefield Council is reminding residents to come along and get their questions answered at the next Cabinet on Tour event in South Elmsall.

The On Tour event takes place on Tuesday January 13 at the Westfield Centre, Westfield Lane, in South Elmsall from 10.30am to 12pm. It aims to give people a new way to engage with the Council.

Wakefield Council's Cabinet meets every three weeks and discusses the district's important issues as well as hearing reports from the different council functions. The meetings are where key decisions are made following discussion between all elected members.

For those who can't attend in person, questions can be also submitted by email to yoursay@wakefield.gov.uk, on www.facebook.com/mywakefield  or on Twitter @MyWakefield using the hashtag #AskCabinet

Wakefield Council Leader, Cllr Peter Box CBE, said: "We want to hear any questions residents may have on their minds and encourage everyone to come along to our next Cabinet on Tour event.

"All Cabinet meetings are held in public – but taking the meetings out into the district - is one of many ways we are making it more convenient for people to interact with their elected members."
