Lets learn together

Date: 16/10/2014

Wakefield Council is welcoming residents across the district to an annual family learning festival.

The event takes place between October 18th to November 2nd and aims to make learning fun with all the family, from parents to grandparents and extended family learning together.

There will be a wide range of activities taking place across libraries in the district including family storytimes, craft activities, internet tasters, and workshops.

Cllr Les Shaw, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Sport said: "This is a brilliant festival to help parents support the learning of their children in the best possible way.

"There are many activities for the whole family at various libraries in the district – so make sure you get the dates in your dairies."

The event is run by Campaign for Learning and adopts a different theme each year, with the main focus on an 'Out of this World' theme this year, giving youngsters the chance to take on an adventure in learning and understanding many interesting scientific discoveries and the natural world.
