Get your questions answered at Cabinet on Tour
Ref: PR 4715
Wakefield Council is reminding residents to come along and get their questions answered at an upcoming Cabinet on Tour event.
The On Tour event which is first of its kind – will take place at Pontefract Town Hall on September 29 2014 from 10.30am until 12 noon.
Wakefield Council’s Cabinet meets every three weeks and discusses the district’s important issues as well as hearing reports from the different council functions. The meetings are where key decisions are made following discussion between all elected members.
Residents will have the opportunity to ask the Council Leader, Cllr Peter Box, and elected members questions during the Q&A session which will take place after the meeting.
For those who can’t attend in person, questions can be also submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, on www.facebook.com/mywakefield or on Twitter @MyWakefield
Council Leader, Cllr Peter Box CBE, said: “We want to make it easier for people in the district to come and talk to us and ask any burning questions they have on their minds.
“All Cabinet meetings are held in public – but this one of many ways we are making it more convenient for people to interact with their elected members.”
The Pontefract Cabinet meeting will be the first of a series of meetings at locations around the district over the next six months. Details of future events can be found at www.wakefield.gov.uk/yoursay
