Huge crowds descended on Wakefield this weekend when the Council brought the seaside to the city.
An estimated 50,000 people packed into the city centre over the weekend which had been transformed into a seaside haven with a beach, donkeys, Punch and Judy and even an interactive Disney Characters show from Change 4 Life during the Saturday.
Cllr Les Shaw, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Sport said: "Seaside in the City is always a fun filled weekend which brings residents from all over the district together in this popular community event. It is brilliant to see many people including families and young children really enjoy themselves.
"There were a whole host of different activities for the whole family and with 50,000 people coming to the event it highlights the huge success of the weekend. Even the sun made a welcoming appearance."
Families also enjoyed live music, sand art and windmill making workshops, pedal boats, a Victorian carousel, deck chairs, along with Dame Candy Floss and a food and craft market.
