Wakefield Council Celebrates Adult Learners Week 2014
Wakefield Council is celebrating Adult Learners Week with various special events.
Wakefield Libraries, in partnership with local organisations, will be welcoming people to the festival of learning throughout June along with further activities taking place in Adult Learner's Week between 14th and 20th June 2014.
The annual festival will provide opportunities for people to learn for life with a wide range of learning activities available from Job help advice drop ins to money advice sessions and book clubs.
Cllr David Dagger, Cabinet member for Culture, Sport and Libraries said: "The Festival of Learning along with the Adult Learners' Week offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance people's lives. These various activities offer an exciting and diverse programme of subjects appealing to everyone's tastes and we hope to see many local residents at these events."

The Council's Adult Education Service will also be running open days through the week where new learners can call in to see the activities on offer including, art & crafts, english and maths, languages, and computer courses.
