Wakefield Council seeks volunteers for overview and scrutiny committees

Wakefield Council is looking for volunteers to become co-opted members of the overview and scrutiny committees.

The role involves working with councillors and other co-opted members to make recommendations to the Council and other organisations, bringing real improvements to the people of the Wakefield District.

Cllr Graham Stokes, Cabinet Member for Corporate performance, said: "This interesting and challenging role will give local residents a unique opportunity to influence how the Council provides services."

Anyone interested has to be over 18 and able to come to ten daytime meetings each year. The closing date for applications is Friday April 25.
