The Wakefield Business Support Programme (WBSP) has invited the UK Managing Director of Haribo, Herwig Vennekens, to share the sweet taste of success with small and medium business owners from the district at an event at The Hepworth Wakefield.
Local businesses are invited to the session, organised by WBSP and Yorkshire Institute of Directors (IoD), on Thursday April 17 to hear how the Haribo brand became the market leader and what Mr Vennekens thinks are the successful tools which have helped the business achieve huge growth year on year.
Cllr Denise Jeffrey, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Growth, said: "After the recent investment Haribo has made in the area the UK Managing Director, Herwig Vennekens, has agreed to share the lessons the company has learnt along the way. This is an exciting opportunity for local business owners to hear advice from a market leading brand on how to grow and develop as part of a series of events by the Wakefield Business Support Programme."
The Wakefield Business Support Programme is a partnership between Wakefield Council, RCP 21, South Elmsall Town Council and South Kirkby and Moorthorpe Town Council, to help local businesses in the district to create much-needed jobs and is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
